Privacy Policy
Last updated 2 October 2026
This policy explains what Anvaya collects when you use it, why, where it is kept, and how you can have it deleted. We collect as little as we can, we never sell your data, and we don’t use it for advertising.
What we collect
- Your email address, to create your account, send you sign-in codes, and tell you when you have access. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your email address and name with us.
- Your answers to our optional questions, such as why you want to learn Sanskrit and which languages you speak. They help us decide what to build. You can skip any of them.
- Your learning progress, once you use the lessons: which lessons and exercises you’ve completed and how you answered, so the app can continue where you left off and choose what to review.
- Basic technical records, such as sign-in times and error logs, kept by our hosting providers to keep the service secure and working.
Where it is kept
We use a small number of providers to run Anvaya. Each only receives what it needs:
- Supabase stores your account, answers and progress, in its Mumbai (India) data centre.
- Vercel hosts the website.
- Resend sends our emails, including sign-in codes.
- Google handles sign-in if you choose “Continue with Google”.
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks that sign-ins come from people, not bots.
Cookies
We only use the cookies needed to keep you signed in. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete your data, including deleting your account entirely. Email us at support@learnanvaya.com from the address you signed up with, and we’ll respond within 30 days.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we’ll tell you by email before the change takes effect.
